Fast Food Fast Challenge Day #6

It’s the weekend baby! YEAH we are almost in the home stretch no turning back!!!

So it is Saturday and God has strengthened me to endure 7 days without eating fast food or eating out at all!!!! YIPPEE! I received 2 invites to each out and said no. (wonder if the invitations will still be open later on. LOL!)

On this day I fully understand that I have spiritual strength (not sure if that’s what I need to call it, but oh well.) I’ve attempted to do various fasts in the past with only a few successful ones.

On the weekend we tend to be super laxed with our eating habits and a long weekend like Labor day makes it no better. LOL! (keeping it real)
We feel the need to let go and do us, but doing us can cause some serious danger and shows a lack of self-control which is a fruit of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

However we cannot be controlled by the desires of our flesh. Fleshy desires are NOT always sexual. For instance when we are feeling some kind of way and do it or someone angers us and we curse them out or when we harbor hate and intentionally act on the hate we are LUSTFUL!!!

Honey, I knew living by THIS flesh would continue to cause major challenges if I didn’t make a decision to get myself in check!

For breakfast I am totally clueless to what I had this morning. I’ve had this pain in my side and it was killing me, but I am healed in Jesus name!!!!!!

Lunch was more of the potato salad and it was GOOD today too. Dinner consisted of a turkey sandwich and a few chips. Once again water played a very important role today, as I believe it is making a difference in me not being soo hungry.

Throughout this challenge I’ve learned and grew spiritually unexpectedly. When I accepted the challenge I was like “Oh no fast food…I got this!  However, with me being in someone else’s space and not feeling 100 this week it was a challenge. Thankfully I am in the home stretch unless God says otherwise.

Allow God’s will to supersede your will and experience spiritual strength unlike ever before. POW!!!!
