Spiritually I am Zakiya a bond servant of Jesus Christ on a mission to change the game when it comes to chronic disease and illness especially among those of us who follow Christ. Too many of these diseases have affected my family, and friends and I am SICK of IT! The buck stops right here and we are getting some stuff in CHECK!
I was placed here to spread the message of love, joy, hope and peace while assisting others on their journey to loving themselves from the inside out, by first embracing the love God has them. I am also a messenger of truth, because warm fuzzies are like crack, a temporary satisfaction soothing to the soul for only a minute. I am here to encourage women to do the work inside to rebuild and repair for renewal and revival in their life, family and relationships.
I am by no means perfect or have it all together. In fact I have an awesome group of real-deal mentors who hold me to the wire when it comes to my calling that I have tried to dumb down because of Zakiyaisms and people for many years.
Relationally I am the eldest daughter of Brenda and Bobby Kyles. Granddaughter to Ruby Lee, Esther, Earling and Oatis. Godchild of Nealy and Ann. Older sister to Uganda, Bobby 2, and Osaro Kyles, Ahmad and Jamal Smith
and TT to Katilyn, Isaiah, Kemani, and O2 and Kyden.
In Swahili my name means “Intelligent Young Lady,” boy what were my parents thinking; talk about a mark on your life. I am the Bayou Bell a lover of all things Southern from Debutante Balls to Zydeco!
I believe in standing for what’s right even if you stand alone, someone needs not to conform. I make NO apologies for who I am, for the light that lives within came with a price from Jesus Christ who lives within me.
This post is written solely for myself. It’s not the intention to brag or boast. I wrote this to assist me in becoming more comfortable with my good and who I KNOW I am and what God has called me to do.
If you want to call it self-therapy go ahead. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
